Kouwell Electronics Corporation was established in 1980 as the representative agent for several internationally renowned companies such as NEC, YAMAHA, MICROTRONICS, etc. After gaining several years of experience in the marketing and promoting of world famous brands, Kouwell devoted itself to manufacturing computer mainboards and add-on cards. Following our successful foray into the mainboard and add-on card industry, Kouwell's PC division began to produce and market multimedia products, including 2D/3D VGA display cards, TV tuners, video capture and video conferencing cards. We also expanded our production to include PCI SCSI cards and ISA SCSI cards.

In 1993, Kouwell began to produce PCI interface SCSI cards. These cards enabled the use of SCSI hard disk, CD-ROM, MO and CD-R drivers. They were also used to connect other peripherals. In the second half of 1995, the trend towards on-board integration of computer peripherals functions reduced the demand for our products, thus led Kouwell to the production of multimedias. Multimedia, SCSI and multi-function interface add-on cards and USB/IEEE 1394 interface products are now our major products. Today, USB/IEEE 1394 already widely being used on various computer peripherals such as mouses, printers, scanners, PC cameras, etc., which makes our products much popular worldwide.

Now, Kouwell's products are widely accepted by the international markets and have earned good reputation on reliable quality and high performance among our customers.

Up to September of 2000, Kouwell's effectual capital is recorded as USD 9, 000,000.
